Fictional

You are viewing as a DSP. You see only your assigned residents: Maya R., Jordan T. and Sam K. (all fictional).

Reviewer walkthrough Fictional data only

Work through the seven tasks below end-to-end. Each one ticks off here as you complete it in the prototype. Everything runs on the three fictional residents — Maya R., Jordan T. and Sam K. — and nothing you enter is saved anywhere.

  • 1
Intake / pre-placement — complete the Tab 13 checklist and create a resident profile organised by the 15 binder tabs.
  • 2
Shift note — write a DTA-day or home-day note, submit it, sign it, and watch it lock (addendum-only corrections).
  • 3
PCSP goal tracking — record measurable progress (prompt counts) linked to the note.
  • 4
Incident report — occurrence vs discovery time, notifications with acknowledgement, and the 24-hour follow-up clock.
  • 5
Shift handoff — review open items and acknowledge the handoff as incoming staff.
  • 6
Medication stock & refill — check days of supply and move a refill through requested → confirmed → delivered → reconciled. Stock only — no eMAR.
  • 7
Training scenario — complete the branching medication-refill scenario at 80%+ with all critical safety items passed to earn the internal Certificate of Completion.
Prototype rules, on purpose: medication screens track stock and refills only — the paper MAR and count sheets stay authoritative, and nothing here marks a dose as given. Certificates issued here are internal “Certificates of Completion” only — never a DCW, Article 9, or any state credential.

Residents Fictional

Select a resident to open their profile, organised exactly like the paper binder — 15 tabs.

Intake / Pre-placement — Binder Tab 13 Fictional

A four-step pre-placement checklist. Finishing it creates a new fictional resident profile with all 15 binder tabs.

Shift Notes & PCSP Goal Tracking Fictional

Draft → Submit → Sign. A signed note locks; corrections are dated addenda only, with the original preserved. Service time and entry time are both shown, so late entries stay honest.

PCSP goal progress — linked to this note (Tab 6 → Tab 7)

Target: ≤ 2 prompts. Recording 2 prompts = target met today. This entry rolls into Maya's Monthly Progress Report (Tab 7) automatically.

Incident Reports — Binder Tab 11 Fictional

Occurrence time and discovery time are recorded separately. A notification only counts as complete when delivery and acknowledgement are recorded. Serious incidents: notify immediately, written follow-up within 24 hours.

File a new incident (fictional)

SeriousJordan T. (fictional)Filed in this prototype session

Schedule-change incident — occurred 2:20 PM, discovered 2:25 PM (5-minute gap, recorded honestly). BTP strategy followed; no injury.

Written follow-up due: Tomorrow 2:20 PM · 24-hour clock running

Notifications: Home Manager — delivered 2:30 PM · acknowledgement pending

Retention flag carried from discovery: Tab 11 says “keep 90 days.” That looks short for audit purposes — the live build must not auto-delete at 90 days until retention is confirmed against the home's contract.

Shift Handoff Fictional

One view for incoming staff. Acknowledgement is required — overdue items route to the Home Manager.

Open tasks

  • Reconcile Sam K.'s liquid medication delivery (see Medication Stock)
  • Print Maya R.'s updated picture schedule
  • Restock first-aid kit — hallway cabinet

Appointments — next 24 hours

  • Sam K. — Dental check, tomorrow 10:00 AM (Tab 5). Guardian notified.
  • Maya R. — DTA as usual, 8 AM transport.

PCSP changes

  • Maya R. — Hand-washing target tightened to ≤ 2 prompts in PCSP v3 (Tab 6). Notes now record against v3.
  • Jordan T. — BTP Monitor #1 completed by Home Manager; Area Supervisor monitor #2 pending (Tab 9).

Needs attention

  • Unresolved incident Jordan T. — 24-hour written follow-up in progress (Tab 11).
  • Low med stock Maya R. — daily tablet at 4 days of supply (threshold 7).

Incoming staff acknowledgement

Not yet acknowledged for the evening shift (3 PM – 11 PM).

Medication Stock & Refill — Tabs 4 & 10 Fictional

Stock & refill oversight only — NO eMAR. This prototype never marks a dose as given and never changes an order. The paper MAR and medication count sheets remain authoritative. A stock adjustment is not a dose record.

Days of supply = quantity on hand ÷ scheduled daily use. Reorder threshold in this prototype: 7 days (the live threshold is still to be confirmed). PRN and liquid medications are tracked separately.

Scheduled medications — days of supply

Refill flow — Maya R., Daily Tablet M1 (4 days of supply)

1 · Requested
2 · Pharmacy Confirmed
3 · Delivered
4 · Reconciled

Refill requested from the pharmacy by the Home Manager. Owner: Home Manager · Expected delivery: tomorrow.

Reconciled means: delivered quantity counted by two staff against the current order, count sheet updated, and any mismatch escalated — still on paper as the authoritative record in v1.

Training — Thiodoc Training Fictional

Thiodoc Training is Thiodoc's own program. Course structure was developed with OMNEAN as a reference model; all content, simulations and certificates in this app are Thiodoc's own.

Every catalog course has a course page with its format, lessons/modules, a playable simulation or knowledge assessment, progress tracking, and completion rules. A certificate is awarded only after all gates pass: lessons complete · assessment ≥ 80% with every critical safety item passed · and, for in-person / blended courses, an in-person skills sign-off recorded by an authorized evaluator (Trainer role).

My progress: No courses started yet.

Course catalog — Thiodoc Training courses

Trainer / Evaluator console

Trainers manage courses, assessment attempts and skills sign-offs — and still see no resident charts (switch to the Trainer role above: the resident sections disappear). Sign-offs below can only be recorded while viewing as Trainer / Evaluator.

No assessment attempts or sign-offs recorded yet in this session.

Certificates awarded in this session

None yet. Complete a course's three gates to award its Certificate of Completion.

Featured simulation — Medication Refill Scenario (Thiodoc internal)

Branching scenario: a fictional resident's medication supply falls below the reorder threshold. Feedback follows every choice; an unsafe choice requires remediation. Pass = 80% or higher AND every critical safety item passed.

Resident rights & privacy · Objective documentation · Incident reporting · Shift handoff · Person-centered support · The home's medication refill procedure (the featured simulation above). These sit alongside the Thiodoc Training catalog above. State-recognised credentials completed externally (Article 9, DCW, CPR/First Aid) are tracked separately in each staff file; this app models the tracking, gates and sign-offs for Thiodoc's own courses.
